I got lucky on eBay with some perfume flacons, which were described as “found in a cupboard”, so i took my chances, bid and won each for 1€! When i received them today, i think they are both early 90ies,  because they were in the original packaging, which makes it much easier to date them.

The Chanel has a barcode, but no green dot, so must be between 1990 and 1992, if the website “Raiders of the lost scent” is correct. I don’t know how much juice there is in the black lipstick flacon, but i think i can hear some liquid sloshing around. The Jil Sander N4 has no barcode, but was released 1990, so it seems to be the original formulation. I sprayed a little of each, and the scents are completely intact.

  1. You had amazing success and did very well! You can take the black lacquer bottom off to see how much is in there. That flacon is a refill one. It will separate from the bottom part of the gold and black if you gently pry it. There must be visuals somewhere online for you to see how to do this. I know this because I have the same one for Chanel no 22 also from the early 1990s. Sadly, my juice is gone. I also had one for no 5 and no 19 dating to the late 70s and early 80s but I thunked those refillable cannisters along time ago, much to my chagrin.
